May 7, 2022 - It's been a few months since I last updated this site. I feel quite hollow at this point. Finishing a university degree but not really knowing what I'm going to do with it is daunting. The last few years were basically me hiding in my room and studying. I feel like I gave up who I was to pursue this degree. In a sense, I feel freedom. The only good thing to come out of this is the fact I at least have a job. But the future seems to be a black box.
March 6, 2022 - I have been thinking up an idea for a story. Something like the Mirror, Mirror episode from the 60's Star Trek. I imagine this as a bunch of starship's crew with eccentric personalities trying to further their mission of conquest from their higher ups. But instead of doing it in the name of empire expansion, their mission is to further the democratic ideals of the Universe. I call it the CDW or Conglomerate of Democratic Worlds, where they do everything in their power to absorb independent worlds into their democratic alliance, with the end goal of increasing economic output since their government is based on the capitalistic ideal of an economy that keeps expanding to the point that even the lowest class benefit. But in the end, they sacrifice freedom to create this bland Corporate Galactic power. Check some Concept art here.
